Curator
Iris Sikking was born in Amsterdam in 1968, where she lives as an independent curator. Sikking is a trained photography historian and film editor and works in the fields of photography, video and digital art. For more than 15 years, she has realized international projects in close collaboration with artists, conceived thematic exhibitions and published photo books as well as online projects. In 2018, Sikking was chief curator of the Krakow Photomonth Festival. In the same year, she published Why Exhibit? Positions on Exhibiting Photographies (Fw:books). Sikking was guest editor for the magazine Trigger#3 on the theme of "Care" in close collaboration with Fotomuseum Antwerp, the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie and Fw:books.
